FRCPath ( Part- II ) Exam Course
15th to 19th July 2019
This
course is intended for candidates who have passed the Part- I examination of
the Royal College of Pathologists ( UK) in Medical Microbiology, Virology and
Infection prevention, preparatory to the Part- II examination. We are privileged to have an overseas
Faculty from the UK for the Part- II course this year 2019.
The
course will last 5 days with an orientation
towards the theory examination papers and practical challenges covering a range
of clinical cases, practical work including antibiotic therapy and infection
prevention advice. This will happen over the first 2 1/2 days The final 2 1/2 days will consist of a mock theory and practical examination with clinical cases and OSPE stations as per the new pattern of
examination. There will be a focus on modern aspects of practice of medical
microbiology and intense preparation before coming for the course is advised.
The course will last from 8.30 am to at
least 6.00 pm on all the days and will be intense covering all aspects required
for the examinations.The time table of
the course will be sent to those candidates registered for the course .
The course is
followed by a “HIC course – from Basics to the recent trends” on the 20th
and 21st July 2019 , which is a mixed bag of lectures and practical
workshop sessions that may be useful preparatory to the FRCPath examinations
with a focus on Infection control and prevention. The registration for the HIC
course will be separate from the FRCPath examination course A tentative programme for the same is also
attached on this mail for your reference. The final brochure of the same will
be sent to all by early next week.
