Health care associated infections or HAIs are a preventable evil    that add to the morbidity and mortality as seen in our    hospitals and health care institutions. Common clinical forms    of infections have been long discussed in various meetings.    Preventing HAIs and control over the ancillary services that act    as potential foci for HAIs proves a challenge to infection control    practitioners in this country. This CME-cum-Workshop course    covers topics intended for Infection control Doctors, clinical    microbiologists, Nurses (infection control nursing staff), CSSD    staff and technologists, Endoscopy technologists and nursing    staff, dialysis technical staff etc.   

We are privileged to have senior guest faculty from overseas    who are very respected names in the field of infection    control and who undoubtedly would enrich us with their    vast experience in many areas of infection control    This course attempts to deal with as many of these issues    as is possible. It is our endeavour to make the conference    as meaningful and interactive as possible. It is proposed to    conduct individual sessions with workshop material, video    demonstrations and above all, leave adequate time with    questions from the audience to ensure participation from    all sections of the audience.

6th FRCPath ( Part- II ) Exam Course

                                      6^th FRCPath ( Part- II ) Exam Course

                                              15^th to 19^th July 2019

This course is intended for candidates who have passed the Part- I examination of the Royal College of Pathologists ( UK) in Medical Microbiology, Virology and Infection prevention, preparatory to the Part- II examination. We are privileged to have an overseas Faculty from the UK for the Part- II course this year 2019.

The course will last 5 days with an orientation towards the theory examination papers and practical challenges covering a range of clinical cases, practical work including antibiotic therapy and infection prevention advice. This will happen over the first 2 1/2 days  The final 2 1/2 days  will consist of a mock theory and  practical examination with clinical cases  and OSPE stations as per the new pattern of examination.  There will be a focus on modern aspects of practice of medical microbiology and intense preparation before coming for the course is advised. The course will last from 8.30 am to at least 6.00 pm on all the days and will be intense covering all aspects required for the examinations.The time table  of the course will be sent to those candidates registered for the course .

The course is followed by a “HIC course – from Basics to the recent trends” on the 20^th and 21^st July 2019 , which is a mixed bag of lectures and practical workshop sessions that may be useful preparatory to the FRCPath examinations with a focus on Infection control and prevention. The registration for the HIC course will be separate from the FRCPath examination course  A tentative programme for the same is also attached on this mail for your reference. The final brochure of the same will be sent to all by early next week.
